Teaching cooking since 2015

About HuskDrevos

Cooking skills,
learned at your
own pace

HuskDrevos started as a small experiment — a handful of structured video lessons for people who genuinely wanted to cook but had no idea where to begin.

We cover the fundamentals: knife work, heat control, building flavour from scratch, timing multiple dishes at once. The kind of knowledge that makes everything else in the kitchen click. Students from over 60 countries have gone through our materials, each on their own schedule, from their own kitchen.

What shapes how
we teach cooking

Most people who struggle in the kitchen are not missing talent.

They are missing a clear explanation of why things work the way they do. Why does butter brown but not burn if you watch the heat? Why does pasta water need to taste like the sea? Our lessons answer these questions directly, without assuming you already know the basics.

The course structure follows a simple logic: start with technique, then apply it to real dishes. A student who understands how to sauté properly can adapt that skill to dozens of recipes without needing a separate tutorial for each one.

Knowing why something works in the kitchen is more useful than memorising any recipe.
Instructor Darya Kovalenko, cooking educator at HuskDrevos

"I had never boiled an egg correctly before this course. By week three I was making a proper stock from scratch. The explanations are patient and very specific."

— Olena Marchuk, student from Kyiv
